Bringing You the Best Green Tea from Shizuoka, Japan
Widely recognized as the green tea capital of Japan, Shizuoka prefecture has been renowned for the cultivation of green tea for over seven centuries. Shizuoka’s moderate climate, high-quality water and its hilly terrain around Mount Fuji make a perfect environment for growing tea.
Several major seaports in the prefecture provided access to markets across the country, and Shizuoka’s fame as a producer of the finest green teas has continued to grow ever since.
Nasuno Teahouse is proud to continue this tradition.

This organic sencha is grown in Mikatagahara, which is located in Hamamatsu city on the west side of Shizuoka prefecture. This sencha is fukamushi which means that the tea leaves are steamed two times longer than regular sancha. This particular sencha brings great aroma and deep, authentic green tea taste.
